Here's a quick look at what the standings are after the fifth week of the season:

Here's a look at how the Yahoo Fantasy Football Expert League standings look after five weeks.

The rich got richer in Week 5 with the league's top teams mostly taking care of business. While Scott Pianowski was able to outlast Dan Titus to improve to 5-0 on the season — the last remaining undefeated team in the league — he only mustered 102.28 fantasy points in the win.

While Pianowski sits atop the standings, he doesn't feel great about his team, per sources who heard him say this during a Yahoo Editorial team meeting on Monday. Scott is now down both David Montgomery and TreVeyon Henderson at running back, plus he has Amon-Ra St. Brown on bye in Week 6.

Pianowski may be down on his team but I trust he'll find a way to get through what could be a tough stretch.

The best matchup of the week was a heavyweight bout between Hayden Winks and Max Loeb. Despite throwing up a monster total of 172.56, Winks had to sweat it out Monday night with Loeb rostering Josh Allen and Davante Adams, who combined for over 50 fantasy points. Loeb finished with the second-most points in Week 5 but took a very tough L. These were also the two highest point totals of the season, adding insult to injury for Loeb.

After slow starts, Joel Smyth and Justin Boone are teams to watch moving forward. Boone is on a three-game heater while Smyth has back-to-back wins. This is an even better development when you consider the two will face off in Week 6, with Boone having the early edge in projection.

Another big matchup in Week 6 pits buddies Winks and Josh Norris against each other. Perhaps we'll get some trash talking on the shows throughout the week? Maybe a side bet or two? Stay tuned!

For the second straight week , there were a lot of one-sided matchups, with every result being decided by double digits.
